With the archetypical all-American clean-cut image and hopelessly romantic host of #1 songs listed on the Billboard Hot 100 including "Sheila" (1962) and "Dizzy" (1969), Tommy Roe is sometimes described as the father of bubblegum music. Often compared to the late great Buddy Holly, on his fifth studio album 'Sweet Pea' (originally released in 1966 on ABC Records) Roe delivers a trademark collection of 60s hits and that underline him as one of the great pop and rock performers of his time.
